Two Nation Theory in Pakistan

Before the arrival of Islam in the subcontinent, nations living there like Christians, Buddhists and Hindus were living peacefully, then came the robbers and thugs like Mohammad Bin Qasim, Mehmood Ghaznavi and others from Afghanistan and Middle East, who disturbed those peaceful people and demolished and ruined their worship places. Pakistani Muslims of today still read those awful deeds of their ancestors with fun and tell these stories to children proudly and now have named their nuclear missiles on the names of these terrorists and thugs. Then came the British, who ruled this region for many years, Muslims of that time raised their voice for two nation theory and describing it as that they have different dresses and different religion from Hindus. But the Christians of this region have been facing discrimination since the arrival of Muslims in this continent because the real enemy of Christians are Muslims not Hindus since the arrival of Islam. Their history is full of killing Christians and Jews when Islam spreaded.  When Muslims arrived in subcontinent, they followed the same path of their ancestors and targeted Christians of the region. Muslims are targeting Christians all over the world whether they are in a Muslim country or a non-Muslim country. Where Islam is dominant (as in the Middle East and Pakistan) religious minorities suffer brutal persecution with little resistance. Where Islam is in the minority (as in Thailand, the Philippines and Europe) there is the threat of violence if Muslim demands are not met.  Either situation seems to provide a justification for religious terrorism, which is persistent and endemic to Islamic fundamentalism.

Pakistani Christians are very peaceful nation and they waited for 67 years for their right of free speech and freedom to practice their religion but they are never allowed to do so in Pakistan. Two Nation theory applies here because Christians have everything different with Muslims. Christians, Jews and Muslims are called Abrahamic religions but Muslims created the difference by calling God, Allah and it is forbidden for many non-Muslims in Muslims countries to call Allah as their God. This is the biggest difference they have created. Muslims only had differences of dress and religion with the Hindus but Christians have difference of religion, culture, language, customs, dresses and everything with the Muslims. According to our Christian faith, Jesus Christ is the son of God, Christianity is based on it, and we believe that God gave all His powers to Jesus Christ, this is our faith and after Jesus Christ no prophet is required. We have been hearing that Islam spread through sword, and it is still happening in Pakistan, I have witnessed what they do to Christians of Pakistan, Christians are forcefully made to accept the Muslim Prophet as their last prophet, they are forced to renounce their religion and faith and practice the Christianity according to Islam. We are forced to accept Prophet Mohammad as our last prophet and our Christian girls are forced to cover their heads during the recitation of Quranic verses and Azan in every part of Pakistan. During these 67 years, Christians of Pakistan have faced the worst examples of discrimination. It is now time that Christians should rise against this discrimination because it is unbearable when we see our Christian girls and women being raped and kidnapped and when the judge gives the decision in favour of the rapist and kidnappers by keeping discrimination and prejudice in his mind. In blasphemy cases, one can experience the worst example of discrimination and torture in prison during this case. I, myself have been the victim of this discriminatory law and experienced and eye witnessed worst form of torture that is impossible for me to explain. The First Information Report (FIR) of a blasphemy case can be lodged on oral statement and no official investigate the case before lodging the FIR. It is required that the plaintiff should be a Muslim and the officials trust him blindly, the accused is than brought in front of the plaintiff and clerics by the police officers and they torture him in front of his plaintiffs and others. The lawyers boycott the accused and no one takes his/her case and leaves the accused alone. It is essential that the judge who is dealing the blasphemy case should be a Muslim and when the accused is produced before the court, the first question of the judge is “Why did you do it” no one asks him if he really does it? In the result, the victim losses his family, house, relatives, respect and friends and during or before the trail he gets killed by the police or inmates. Same is in the education system; the teachers are discriminative towards the Christian students. From the very first day of school, Christian child starts to hear that Christianity is a false religion and that they should accept Islam if they want to go to Heaven. Christians never get any key post in police and district management.

Now let’s talk about Politicians of Pakistan, we all know about Fazal ur Rehman who recruited many Talibans. Chairman of Council of Islamic Ideology (Islami Nazriati Council) is Maulana Sharani of JUI (F) (Jamiat Ullema Islam – Fazal ur Rehman), the same maulana who criticised a Christian MNA (Member of National Assembly) Tariq.C.Qaiser, who recited “in the name Our Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit” in National Assembly though Tariq C Qaiser was reciting it as his own faith. After that they tormented and harassed him that much that he had to flee the country. Politicians like Imran Khan and Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman talks against Christianity bravely and proudly without any hesitation and give statements in favour of Talibans. When any terrorist attack or a blast occurs in Christian enclaves or Church we hear only one statement from President to MNAs (Member of National Assembly) that no Muslim can do this it is an act of enemies of Islam. Same is with print and electronic media of Pakistan; they keep disgracing Christianity and spread false news and hateful material about Christianity.

In the end I would like to say that Christians have not arrived in this region from USA or Europe they are the indigenous people of this region, but Muslims of Pakistan proudly tells about their ancestors as Sherazi from Sheraz, Bukhari from Bukhara, Qureshi from the Quresh tribe of Arab and etc. We the Christians of Pakistan are keeping our eyes on the international community and organisations like United Nations and Commonwealth to promote us because no one is helping us. Real Two Nation theory applies here in Pakistan, we want our separate homeland where we will be able to preach and practice our religion freely and openly. My article should not be made as a base of a separate homeland for Muslims living in USA or Europe because they have in migrated here from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and other Muslim countries but we are the indigenous people of subcontinent and we have the right to demand for our own homeland but Muslims of USA and Europe doesn’t. Also Muslims in Europe and USA are enjoying freedom and equal rights but on the other hand Christians of Pakistan are suffering torture, discrimination and extinction. It is our right for a separate Christian homeland in Pakistan.

Senior Pakistan Taliban captured in Afghanistan

U.S. troops are holding a senior Pakistani Taliban commander they captured in Afghanistan a week ago, an Afghan provincial official said Friday.
The capture could be a significant blow to the Pakistani Taliban, who have waged a decade-long insurgency against Islamabad from sanctuaries along the Afghan border. They have also helped the Afghan Taliban in their war against U.S.-led NATO troops in Afghanistan.
Latif Mehsud was arrested by American forces as he was driving along a main highway in eastern Logar province's district of Mohammad Agha, said the Logar governor, Arsallah Jamal. The road links the province with the Afghan capital, Kabul.
Mehsud has served as a senior deputy to Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud.
The Pakistani Taliban confirmed the capture, but claimed Mehsud was seized by the Afghan army at the Ghulam Khan border crossing in the eastern province of Khost on Oct. 5.
He was returning from a meeting to discuss swapping Afghan prisoners for money, said Pakistani Taliban commanders and intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.
The Pakistani intelligence officials said American forces seized Mehsud while he was with the Afghan army, and that they no longer know where he is.
Mehsud, believed to be around 30 years-old, once served as Hakimullah Mehsud's driver but eventually worked his way up the ranks to become a trusted deputy. The two are not related and Mehsud is a common name in the region.
Jamal said Mehsud was in a car with two or three other men when the U.S. military arrested him.
The U.S. military in Kabul referred all question to the Department of Defense in Washington.
A spokesman for President Hamid Karzai told the Washington Post that a senior Taliban commander was captured in Logar as he was being driven to a facility operated by the intelligence service for questioning. The spokesman, Aimal Faizi, said the commander, who he did not name, was then taken to an American detention facility in Bagram.
There was no immediate comment from Karzai's office on the report.
The detention apparently angered Karzai and may have contributed to a series of emotional outbursts this week alleging that the U.S. and NATO inflicted suffering on the Afghan people and repeatedly violated its sovereignty.
There were reports that talks on a bilateral security agreement, which have been ongoing in the past two weeks, were delayed because of the incident. American and Afghan officials have been meeting in recent days to negotiate the final details of the deal.
Karzai has ruled out signing the U.S.-Afghan deal until disagreements over sovereignty issues are resolved. The U.S. wants a deal in October and is reportedly ready to abandon talks and leave Afghanistan at the end of 2014 if one is not quickly reached.
The U.S.-led international coalition plans to withdraw all its troops by the end of 2014, and American and its allies are considering keeping a small residual force in the country to train and assist Afghan security forces and go after the remnants of al-Qaida.
But almost a year of negotiations on the deal has failed to yield an agreement — and it's possible the two sides will never produce one.
Without the United States on board, it is unlikely NATO or any of its allies will keep troops in Afghanistan. Germany has already indicated it will not commit the 800 soldiers it has promised.
Karzai has called a tribal meeting of Afghan elders — known as Loya Jirga — for next month to discuss the state of the U.S.-Afghan agreement and advise him on what to do.
The Taliban, meanwhile, condemned a unanimous U.N. Security Council vote to extend the mandate of the NATO-led force in Afghanistan for the last time before it hands over total responsibility for security to Afghan forces at the end of 2014.
The resolution adopted by the council said the situation in Afghanistan "still constitutes a threat to international peace and security."

Pages from Holy Bible will be burned all over the world

Pakistani Print and electronic media always claims that they never insulted Jesus Christ or Holy Bible. This man and his party, publicly insulted Holy Bible. If Pakistan believes in religious freedom and considers Holy Bible and Holy Quran as equal then govt should ban JUI-S and Mullana Sami ul Haq from politics. Supreme Court of Pakistan should take Suo Motu action on this matter. Peace Worldwide urges the Government of Pakistan to register a case under section 295 - B against the above mentioned culprits.

Hypocrisy

Taliban accepted the responsibility of twin blasts in All Saints Church of Peshawer, Pakistan and said that the reason for this attack was because of Drone Attacks of USA in Pakistan. They further mentioned that they will continue to attack Non - Muslims in Pakistan. I have a question here, which area of India under the rule of Emperor Shah Jehan in 1632 was under the drone attacks? In that time, there were no war Air Crafts etc. This raises many questions.

Imran Khan, the biggest enemy of Christians

"Until and unless drone strikes are stopped, we will continue to strike wherever we will find an opportunity against Christians," statement of Ahmed Marwat, a spokesman for Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (Pakistani Taliban Movement) -Jandullah. Imran Khan didn't condemn the incident instead he said the blast was a conspiracy to sabotage the peace efforts. Will Talibans stop attacking Christians if there is no drone attack? They will keep attacking Christians, drones are only an excuse because they used to attack Christians before drones. When Shantinagar and churches in Multan were burnt and when church in Islamabad was attacked and so on, which area of Pakistan was being drone attacked? England or America, wherever Imran's children will breed, they will attack Christians when they grow up because their father is preparing them to do so. Pakistani Muslims struggle hard to get a visa of USA and Europe but when they go back to Pakistan, they tell their fellow countrymen that they came back from the country of apes and they tell this on their electronic media openly.

Imran Khan, Osama Bin Laden in disguise

Peace Worldwide correspondent informed on Skype that there was no police officers on duty on the blast site. its a devastating and sorrowful situation over there, headless bodies and limbs are lying everywhere. Imran Khan and members of his party gave derogatory remarks against Christians time to time. This is the first step of Imran Khan an International Terrorist's grudge towards Christians. A result of dialogues with Talibans and the agenda of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan. Our correspondent also added that during the government of ANP security in Churches was high but as soon as Imran Khan's party came on charge, the security from all Churches has been removed. Peace Worldwide correspondent updated the last death toll that is 62.

Deadly Blast Hits Pakistan Church Peshawar; Killing 56 Leaving Over 120 Injured

Peshawar: Two suicide bombers blew themselves outside a church in Pakistan’s Peshawar city killing 56 people and injuring dozens, reports said Sunday. The suicide attack targeted St. John’s Church in Peshawar’s Kohati gate area as Sunday services came to an end. According to Commissioner of Peshawar Sahibzada Muhammad Anis, the attack took place when worshipers were coming out of the church after Sunday Mass. The commissioner added that 600-700 people were inside the church at the time of the attack. Those injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital and more doctors have been called to the respond to the patients. The intensity of the blast was such that the windows of the nearby buildings were shattered. The police has cordoned off the area and the bomb disposal squad has also reached to the site.

The church is situated in a very congested locality which is always jam packed with the people mostly women as the area is the hub markets and shopping centres. The Christian community lives in the vicinity and visited the church for Sunday service in large number. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but radical Islamists have been blamed for previous attacks on the country's minority communities, including Christians. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack, saying terrorists have no religion and targeting innocent people is against the teachings of Islam and all religions. He said such cruel acts of terrorism reflect the brutality and inhumane mind set of the terrorists.

You can read our previous post which is about the Joint venture of Taliban and Pakistan. Pakistan just released a high commander of Talibans and the very next day a Church is attacked. Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan are together in this conspiracy against Christians. International Community should wake up and should take an action against Pakistan. United Nation's Peacekeepers are needed for the protection of Christians in Pakistan.

Joint venture of Taliban and Pakistan

Pakistan wants to be the super power of South Asian region. Unfortunately, it’s the only Muslim nuclear power in the world and this makes it even famish for power. All Parties Conference is government of Pakistan’s step to strengthen Taliban and enhance its power in the region. 89% Pakistanis support Talibans but the government of Pakistan is afraid of international community that is why they are creating the drama of dialogue with Talibans but in reality, they are giving them license to kill which will impose Talibanisation in Pakistan and will make it a complete Taliban state.

Do Pakistan deserves to be respected?

Pakistan on its print and electronic media claims that they respect all religions. Pakistanis spit, urinate and step on the Holy Cross. Now its up to you to decide, do Pakistan deserves to be respected? Why is that Pakistani Muslims detest Christians and Christianity on the one hand and expect compassion from Christians on the other? Hatred breeds Hatred, violence is answered by violence or have the Muslims of Pakistan forgotten this?

Talibanisation Through Parliamentarians

Much vocal/written criticism against human rights violation and ill-treatment of Christians has been raised by high profile International human rights organization such as Amnesty International, The US State Department, UK Foreign Affairs ministry and even various UN based agencies.  The government of Pakistan usually handles such allegations with contempt issuing contradicting statements that “All is well in Pakistan” and “Pakistani Christians enjoy religious freedom”. The government’s mouthpieces Christian MNAs and parliamentarians have repeatedly refuted international criticism adding that Christians are happy here, enjoy religious freedom and are provided protection at all times. To convince the international community, the government of the day handpicked lackeys/stooges usually shower praises on the government thereby corroborating with the governments positive statements.  These stooges are then rewarded by being given prominent positions including Members of National Assembly, Ministries and in most cases land or money in lieu.

On other occasions the government blatantly reminds members of the minorities who are required to speak at domestic & international forums to refrain from making negative comments about the draconic situation that otherwise prevails in Pakistan.  Blackmail is a preferred method of extracting a favorable response from the minorities.  Knowing the mindset of the Christians who after decades of subjugation offer little or no resistance, the government succeeds in realizing their agenda.

This stranglehold on the Christians has many benefits for the government.  Since Pakistan is a developing nation with a sizeable population whose is eternally dependent on foreign financial assistance, most donor countries assess the human rights situation before offering financial assistance. Almost every donor donate funds for poverty alleviation but Christians rarely see a piece of the pie and actually taste it because the financial assistance directly goes to ISI which is then further distributed to the Talibans and these development funds divert for other illicit purposes such as acquiring the latest conventional weapons including weapons of mass destruction, establishing terrorist networks and promoting Islam through propaganda.

The situation of Christians stays same and despite of getting developed they still live in mud houses in posh and expensive city like Islamabad. And the donation money goes to the terrorists and to those who are in power. Donors are of view that if terrorists of northern areas of Pakistan will get educated they will change and will think differently and positively but my experience says a Pakistani Muslim more educated person more criminal and terrorist minded. Some prominent examples are Abdul Rashid Ghazi of Red Mosque (Lal Masjid) Islamabad, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, Faisal Shahzad responsible of bomb blast in Times Square, New York is a son of Air Vice Marshall, two star general in Pakistan Air Force. Faisal Shahzad confessed bombing attempt and throughout his court appearance, he remained unrepentant.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Junaid Jamshed and Imran Khan are the examples of their educated criminal mindset. Imran Khan, he studied from Oxford University, London. But no Oxford can change his mindset; Imran Khan is in fact a Osama Bin Laden in disguise. Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervaiz Khattak of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf, political party of Imran Khan, gave a statement that Muslims cannot be hired as sweepers and cleaners only Christians will be hired for sanitary jobs. These are only few examples; there are many other incidents of USA, UK and other European Countries.

89% of Muslims of Pakistan, including army generals and other high officials support Talibans. I have witnessed warm welcomes of terrorists and killers of Christians in prison by prison staff; and the prison staff considers them as the heroes of Islam. The staff takes proper care of them and provides them every facility in prison.

The Christians in Pakistan live in sewerage lines and are living in dreadful and terrible condition. These places where Christians are living are the worst places but the Mullahs and other agencies want them to leave these places. They don’t want any Christian to get educated and tries to keep them away from education; this is why they attack their places and Christian enclaves time to time. This cycle has been repeating itself since 1947. The government, mullahs and the general Muslim population are of the view that if Pakistani Christians are happy, then foreign financial assistance will cease to flow into Pakistan.

Christians have been made the scapegoat for decades and yet pundits in the Christian community not only support the government for their own self-interest but all too often shift the entire blame on the Christians for the predicament they are in. These Christian so called leaders or members don’t care about their Christian nation and they only think of making money because they are the selected members not the elected ones. The self-professed leaders of the Christians of Pakistan like J. Salik need to look deep and find that particular characteristic known as the ‘conscience’ in order to restore human dignity among themselves.

Pakistanis are the only people on earth with a bottomless stomach and if the world wants a peaceful and civilized Pakistan, than it is impossible. To find a needle in a haystack is much easier than to change the mindset of a Pakistani which is aggressive and discriminative, till they don’t change their syllabus which teaches hate against other religions.

Dilemma in Pakistan is this that whoever struggles for Christians gets trapped in false cases; the cases can be of any nature e.g. fraud, criminal or blasphemy. Real ruler of Pakistan is not the government but ISI. As long as ISI continues to intervene in all matters, it is impossible to bring any change in Pakistan for Christians no matter who’s ever government is.

Let’s touch on another issue that has caused consternation among the Christian minority – the issue of Religious Freedom. While every government official from the President downwards is quick to point out that Religious freedom exists in Pakistan – quite the opposite is true.  Permit me to elaborate.  In all my years of existence, never have I ever heard any Priest or Padre ever criticize other religions or for that fact categorically degrade adherents of other religions, on the other hand rarely does any Friday go by without a mullah criticizing Christians or Christianity. Every Friday in mosques during sermon, it is announced that Bible is changed, that Jesus is son of God (which is a blasphemy in their eyes), and that Christians eat haram. They urinates on Cross or crucifix, I myself have witnessed this during the Denmark issue. There is no such big blasphemer as Pakistani Mullahs and whoever follows them doesn’t know about their own religion Islam. They keep hurting Christians in the name of blasphemy and when it comes to Christians, they burn their whole enclaves and houses without any proof.

While the government is aware of such lewd behavior, they are either gutless to take action against such mullahs and perhaps give tacit approval to further their agenda.

Muslims do not acknowledge the crucifixion of Christ, while Christian ideology is based on this fact.  Muslims heckle the cross even though it is the most sacred icon of Christianity.  Muslims accuse Christians of making changes in the Text of the Bible proudly claiming that the text of the Koran has remained unchanged, but can they prove otherwise?

My argument is that what right does a Muslim have to degrade Christianity? Why is that Muslims detest other religions on the one hand and expect compassion from Non-Muslims on the other? Hatred breeds Hatred, violence is answered by violence or have the mullahs forgotten this.  Just because we Christians in Pakistan are small in number, Muslims prefer to exhibit their prowess to subdue us.  Muslims must be very insecure in themselves to have to resort to this sort of behavior.

Muslims are brainwashed from an early age into believing that Islam is the only superior religion and all other religions are either fake or irrelevant.  Muslims are also under the wrong impression that by virtue of them being Muslim, all sins are automatically forgiven and Paradise is promised to all Muslims irrespective of their sinful existence on Planet Earth.

In that context ordinary Muslims are not to blame for this mindset, the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the intellectuals & Islamic clergy.  If Muslims cannot tolerate other religions then how can they state that Christians have religious freedom in Pakistan? Now only if I could amicably convince my fellow Muslim of this reality. Until then the suffering will continue and untold miseries inflicted on the Christians all in the name of Islam.

Stop Islamisation of Schools in Pakistan

Muslims live in North America, Europe, Australia and other non-Muslim countries, but never have the education system in these countries ever tried to impose an alien religious subject on their children, nor have the Muslim children ever been brainwashed into believing that their religion is inferior to those of other religions. As a matter of fact all children in non-muslim countries are taught the importance of national unity, patriotism, love for humanity & economic development of their respective countries.

Here in Pakistan, since the last 65 years special emphasis is given to Islamayat (Islamic studies) in all educational institutions from primary to under-graduate level. Diverse subject such as Mathematics, Science, Geography, History and even language subjects such as Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi have Islamic concoction in them. Alternative subjects such as Civics & Ethics are given little or no importance and even in these subjects, 75% teaching of Islam is present. This is well and okay if all the students in Pakistan come from Islamic backgrounds – What happens to children from Christian backgrounds? What alternative subjects are taught to them that do not include Islam? I am afraid the answer to the above two questions is not positively reassuring.

Islamic Studies is taught to Christian children from Kindergarten level and when these children reach the upper primary level, they are reasonably brainwashed by then into believing that Islam is the only superior religion and that their belief in Christ or Christianity is wrong-the Holy Bible unlike the Holy Quran has been amended and due to this fact it is no longer accurate and an inferior religion. Teachers also coax these Christian children (05 years old and above) to renounce Christianity & embrace Islam to redeem themselves from sin and promises of a place in paradise. Our Christian children when at home pose serious & misinterpreted questions to their parents about the activities that took place in their respective school and begin to question their faith creating an atmosphere or uncertainty, alienation & inferiority complex which later in life causes entrenched doubts about their religious convictions and even a switch to Islam, based on the earlier misinterpreted version imparted by their Islamic Studies teachers. It is no secret that these Islamic Studies teachers are in fact aggressively promoting Islam with the tacit approval of their respective educational hierarchy, which is turn are taking their instructions from the Government. Is this approach correct?

Let’s take another example. There was a hue & cry in France about the issue of Muslim female students not allowed to wear the scarf while in School. The Government of France made it amply clear that all students in France must follow rules & regulations and that the dress code did not include religious insignia or restrictions. The point is that Muslim prefers to adhere to their religious values in non-muslim countries but force Islamic value to non-Muslims in their own countries. Why the double standard? Can Pakistani Government justifiably prove that Islam is in fact more superior to other religion? Pakistani print and electronic media always claim that the Holy Quran explicitly forbids Muslims from discriminating against other religions. Why then the unnecessary discrimination? Pakistani Government boast about the rising number of converts to Islam but in reality, other religions are not allowed to flourish, instead other religions are demonized here. Pakistani government never provides a level playing field and usually resorts to unethical & provocative methods to inflict physiological torture on Christians.

Religion can never be forced onto others, we the Christians in Pakistan are guaranteed religious freedom both by the Constitution of Pakistan as well as the United Nations (Pakistan is a veteran member of the United Nations) but this guarantee only exists on paper – the reverse is actually applicable.

To compound problems Islamic studies is taught in the Arabic language – once again an alien and irrelevant language both for Muslim & Christian students alike, whom face extreme difficulty in comprehending this language. Then there are a few schools that teach Civics or Ethics instead of Islamic Studies but it becomes difficult for children whom are studying these particular subjects to successfully pass their examinations. This is another hand twisting methods adopted by the educators into compelling students from opting out of Civics/Ethics in favor of Islamic Studies.

Interestingly enough Christian students, who complete Islamic Studies examinations, are given good grades, even though they may not have made a serious attempt to pass.

Peace Worldwide strongly urges the Government of Pakistan both at Federal & Provincial level to cease teaching Islamic Studies to Christians, instead appoint teachers from Christian background to teach Holy Bible to Christian students. This will improve the unemployment situation for the Christians, create an atmosphere of tolerance & brotherhood and will give Christians a sense of security- sorely missing in Pakistan.

Pakistani Christians applaud the Government into allowing Aga Khan Board to be established; similarly we recommend that a Christian Board too be created to facilitate children from Christian background.
Forcibly eradicating other religious values & beliefs will only create an atmosphere of distrust, contempt, intolerance, discrimination & loss of self-esteem, a situation currently in existence here in Pakistan. Wake up Government of Pakistan before it is too late.

First Christian Kingdom in Punjab

Among its proudest displays, the Cathedral of Lahore exhibits a small cross in a glass case. Known as the Taxila Cross, it was found in 1935 just outside the ruins of Sirkap, the second city of Taxila, and is commonly believed to signify that Christianity had taken root in the subcontinent shortly after the crucifixion of Christ. The ‘proof’ supporting this theory is a manuscript titled The Acts of St Thomas that was discovered in 1822 in Syria. According to this document, St Thomas having been assigned by Jesus to teach the gospel in India (now it is the part of Pakistan), arrived by boat at the seaside capital of King Gondophares. Working miracles, he successfully converted the king and all his subjects to Christianity.
Now, whenever the Acts was compiled and even in 1822 when it surfaced in Syria, Taxila had not yet been discovered. Only serious historians well-acquainted with the history of Alexander knew that it lay somewhere to the east of the Indus River in Punjab. When the cross was discovered in 1935, Cuthbert King the British deputy commissioner of Rawalpindi (twin city of Islamabad, Pakistan), evidently knew of The Acts of St Thomas and seized upon this find as ‘proof’ of the existence of Christianity in Punjab as early as the 1st century CE. His belief was strengthened by the fact that newly-excavated Sirkap did indeed date back to t
he 1st century. Along with the cross, they also found some coins marked with the cross.

SP.Singha....HERO or TRAITOR?

Written by Hector Aleem:

During the British rule of India, British Government sent Sir. Stafford Cripps (head of Cripps Mission) to India with his delegation. In that plan India was offered with a plan of independence. Punjab Province was the biggest province of India, in the East of that Province Hindus and Sikhs were in majority so according to the plan that part was to be annexed with present day India. In the western part of Punjab, Muslims were in majority so that part was to be given to Pakistan. And from Lahore City to River Jehelum (present day Punjab, Pakistan) Christians were in majority, so according to the plan this part of Punjab province was to be given to Christians so that they can create their own separate Christian Country. Punjab Assembly at that time voted on the plan, some members of the assembly supported going with India and some members supported with going to Pakistan. There were also Christian members of Punjab Assembly and at that time the speaker of the Punjab assembly was also a Christian whose name was SP.Singha. SP.Singha supported Pakistan and he also made other Christian members of Punjab Assembly to vote for Pakistan. So the Christian part of Punjab was also annexed with Pakistan due to the votes of SP.Singha and his other fellow Christian members of assembly. At that time that was considered a vote for freedom but now after 67 years, Christians must decide....was it a vote for freedom or slavery? Implementing of Martial Law by dictator Ayub Khan 1958. Mrs.Singha left Pakistan and lived her life with her daughter in India. Please post your comments.

ADIALA PRISON PAKISTAN’S VERY OWN ABU GHARIB – GUANTANAMO

I am sharing some important facts of Adiala Prison which is the model jail of Pakistan and is famous for its civilized condition, if this is the condition of civilized prison than you can imagine the condition of other prisons of Pakistan. This is only what I have seen during four years of my illegal detention for false accusations, what happened to me will be written in my next article.

Superintendent and deputy superintendent of Jail gathered all the Christian prisoners and in no uncertain terms ordered them to refrain from any religious activities including prayer sessions. The Christian prisoners, some of them having under graduate - post graduate academic qualifications were assigned janitorial duties simply because they were Christians. Those resisting such orders were warned of harsh punishment in the form of routine beating, torture and other inhumane acts if they did not toe the line. Those Christian prisoners that disobey such orders are beaten till they succumb to their injuries, The Above mentioned officials of Adiala Jail conveniently labeling such death in custody as ‘Suicides’. In the absence of post mortem, how can it be determined whether the prisoner died a natural or injury inflicted death. Simply they ordered Christians to perform the dirty duty like toilet washing and gutter cleaning due to their faith.

Other Christian prisoners who are in fear cooperate with these officials by doing janitorial duties are not provided adequate safety equipment. The concept of gloves and proper footwear is alien to our comprehension. Such prisoners develop various skin related diseases eventually succumbing to their injuries without any compensation from the authorities.

The penal system was introduced by the civilized world to rehabilitate those who committed crimes. Prisons serve as a useful deterrent to crime as well as confining hardened criminals for extended periods of time thereby ensuring non repetition of crimes as well as ensuring the safety of law abiding citizens.

Undoubtedly criminals who do the crime must do the time; it is the period of detention as well as the quality of life of prisoners that differs worldwide. In developed nations, prisons are well managed by professionals who respect the fundamental rights of each prisoner. Prisoners are human being and have to be properly cared for during the entire period of their incarceration. First and foremost it is vital that prisoners are adequately fed and clothed. Religious freedom and visitation rights must be respected. If prisoners show keen interest in pursuing further education, the authorities must oblige. A reformed prisoner will be better able to re-adjust into society after serving his time. In developing countries however, prisons are misused for a variety of purposes. Innocent people are falsely accused by politicians, bureaucrats and law enforcement agencies of crimes they did not commit. It is such gross human rights violations that we like to highlight. The prison in question this time is not Abu Gharib or Guantanamo but our own Adiala Prison.

Adiala prison is located in Rawalpindi. It was originally designed to house inmates but now has more than five times that number. Cramped quarters, unhygienic living conditions, unpalatable food, inadequate healthcare facilities, absence of educational inducement, denial of religious freedom, routine torture, regular gang rape and sodomy both by wardens and hardened criminals, denial of visitation rights, confiscation of gifts and food from well-wishers are

Adiala has seen many wardens over the decades. Interestingly enough each new warden brazenly flouts the law more than his predecessor. Either the government has a special training camp where senior law enforcement officials receive training on how to excel in human rights violations or these wardens are chosen from a huge list of renowned sadists. According to my experience, even President and Prime Minister of Pakistan ignore any complaints against atrocious conditions in Adiala and prefer to ignore any plea. It seems the more complains direr the situation gets. Perhaps it’s the governments’ way of reminding that they are not prepared to except any criticism of their head handed tactics.

Christian prisoners who dare to air their grievances to the concerned authorities or for that matter human rights organizations or NGO’s face severe punishment from wardens who simply cannot tolerate whistle blowers. Just who do these prisoners turn to, to redress their grievances? Knowing the docile characteristics of Christians, wardens deliberately inflict more inhumane punishment on Christians simply to satisfy their ego as well as earn promotion for a job well done.

The Pakistan government and Pakistani electronic and print media is quick to point out the harsh treatment to prisoners in far away places like Abu Gharib or Guantanamo but prefer to close both eyes at the atrocities that occur in prisons within their own domain. The government fails to take into account that prisoners serving time in Abu Gharib or Guantanamo are war criminals or terrorists who have committed crimes against humanity and are meted out exemplary punishment, but the Christian prisoners here in Pakistan are neither terrorist nor war criminals and have never committed crimes against humanity in the name of religion or for that matter any other warped ideology. Christian prisoners are largely in prisons for minor crimes. Moreover these Christian prisoners are Pakistani citizens and deserve equal treatment as enshrined in the Constitution.

Access to prisoners to conduct proper investigation into their allegations is rare to say the least. The prison authorities will prevent outsiders from mingling with prisoners, least their deceptive and atrocious behavior will surface. Peace Worldwide want an immediate reinstatement of religious worship and regular prayer for Christians. Moreover all janitorial duties must be equally shared by all prisoners irrespective of their religious background. After all Muslim prisoners (who are in larger numbers in Adiala prison) are equally responsible for creating an unhygienic environment, so they are just as responsible for the clean up process.

Also, an access to hospital should be given to all those Christian prisoners who have suffered injuries due to the barbaric acts of prison authorities. We would also like to see all Christian prisoners provided proper healthcare facilities and are not subjected to further physical torture. An independent body should be created to oversee any human rights violations that occur in prisons all over Pakistan. Prison Wardens and other officials must either be suspended or removed from service when they are found guilty of human rights violations. These same officials must serve time in the very prison they committed these violations. International organisations should be allowed to meet regularly with all prisoners especially Christian prisoners, to better understand first-hand the situation that currently exists in Adiala Prison.  Though it is difficult for them to let these organisations visit and point out the human rights violation in the prison but if somehow any international organisation visits, they make them visit the dummy places which are free of violation and any inhumane activity and give them EVERYTHING IS OKAY report.

Enough is enough. Christians are fed up with the discriminatory, despicable and unwarranted behavior of the Pakistani government, the law enforcement agencies as well as the Muslim masses of Pakistan. Up until now Christians have been quiet on all fronts preferring to maintain the status quo but such inaction has further deteriorated the basic rights of all Christians in Pakistan.

Pakistan now enjoys a front seat on the United Nations Human Rights Council. Exposing their dirty laundry on the international forum will certainly infuriate their politicians and will only further confirm Pakistan status as a nation of ‘Hypocrites’. We warn government of Pakistan to correct them and follow the right path and do what is written in the jail manual and what they show to the international organisations.

Is Pakistan prepared to live with such demeaning expletive? Will ‘Enlightened Moderation’ be further strengthened or weakened by continuous human rights violations that occur regularly in Pakistan. The time has come for the Pakistani Government as well as the people of Pakistan to embrace ‘One Nation – One People’ culture which is far more difficult for both the government of Pakistan, ISI and other agencies to digest. Christians will not any longer tolerate erosion in their birth rights and demand equal status as Citizens of Pakistan. Peace Worldwide want religious freedom for Christians of Pakistan and the right to practice their religion without continuous interference from Islamists and Government of Pakistan. We also want appropriate punishment for Muslims for similar crimes that Christians unnecessarily are incarcerated for. The socio-economic picture should register an overall improvement benefiting all Pakistani citizens, not just Muslims.

We strongly urge the Government of Pakistan as well as International Human Rights organizations to help improve Pakistan’s poor human rights record. Religious extremism and racial vilification must be uprooted immediately. Senior government officials must refrain from personal prejudices while discharging their duties. Pakistan has very bad reputation. Christians would like to cooperate with the government and the people in improving the socio-economic situation, but more effort from government of Pakistan is required to achieve this objective.

How long Christians can live with the Majority of Pakistan?

SAHIWAL, Aug 3: Almost half of Christian population living in 38/12-L village near Chichawatni left their houses and moved to safer places on Saturday morning after a tension between Muslim and Christian communities increased over a minor issue.
Removal of a green cloth inscribed with holy verses from a grave in a Muslim graveyard and its use on a grave in a Christian graveyard resulted in the tension between two communities. Some people tried to incite communal violence on the basis of this issue, but elders from both communities intervened and averted a clash.
Pakistani newspapers are saying that the situation was under control and negotiations among elders of all religious communities of the village on Saturday evening were successful. But the real news is far more dangerous and alarming.
According to the sources of Peace Worldwide, the situation is still very dangerous in the village 38/12-L. The extremists destroyed all graves in the Christian graveyard; some dead bodies were dug out from the graves and were burned and disgraced by the extremists. Some other extremists also destroyed Holy Cross on the graves.
Later the extremists turned to the village and destroyed Christian homes and household items. Holy Bibles were also burnt by the extremists; a local Church was also burnt. Christians from the village fled from their homes and are living with their relatives in other villages. Some are even living in open air ground; they don’t have any kind of shelter in this hot weather.
Pakistani media which is already a strong supporter of Taliban and extremists is instructed by the Government of Pakistan not to cover any news of Christians. They are concealing the news of Christians in Pakistan by showing that everything is good and that the Christians are enjoying equal rights but the other side of the story is darker than anyone can imagine.

Pakistani media claims that the dialogue between elders of Christians and Muslims was successful. The question is, Dialogue between whom? When there is no one left in that village. We already said before and are saying again, this situation is going towards “The Two Nation Theory”. For how long Christians can live with the Majority of Pakistan?

Organized genocide of Christians in Pakistan

Pakistani print and electronic media fully support talibans and extremism in Pakistan. Especially Christian faith is being destroyed and disgraced by the print and electronic media of Pakistan. Pakistani secret agencies especially police support the fundamentalists and extremists and those who do not support them are afraid of them. There are many incidents like the Badami Bagh, Gojra, Shantinagar etc in which Police were involved with the extremists. Police did not arrest any fundamentalist who destroyed the Christian neighborhoods but on the other hand the same Police blindly file blasphemy cases against Christians without any evidence. This is an organized genocide of Christians in Pakistan.

Christian Genocide in Pakistan

Christianity is the largest minority in Pakistan but besides being the largest number of minority, they are also the largest number of persecuted nation in Pakistan. There are lots of examples of Christian persecution since the inception of Pakistan. Today, Pakistani Christians are regularly jailed, persecuted and even sentenced in false blasphemy cases. Pakistani fundamentalists are cutting the necks of Christians like street dogs, raping and abduct Christian girls. Shame on recent parliamentarians like Tahir Khalil Sandhoo and Kamran Michael who are enjoying the ministry with the ruling government, if they care even a little about their nation they should resign immediately and start working for Christians.
The recent case of Shafqat Masih is the worst example of blasphemy cases lodged against Christians because his whole family is in custody of the police and they have been shifted far away from their home city. This is the same case in which Peace Worldwide Chairman, Mr. Hector Aleem was trapped and he spent four years in prison for this offence. No Christian is such fool to send a blasphemous message to any Muslim cleric especially when they know the consequences, also, every Christian parent teaches their children not to involve their selves in any anti Islamic activity.
There are no organizations especially Christian NGOs who are helping these victims of blasphemy instead they depends upon the local NGOs who do nothing but provides false news to the international media, normally all these organizations are the agents of the government of Pakistan who provides news according to the guidance of the Government of Pakistan.
Peace Worldwide condemns the misuse of blasphemy law in Pakistan because it is creating hate and inferiority complex in the minds of Pakistani Christians, the government, the secret agencies and courts are silent when several innocent Christians are facing persecution due to blasphemy law.
Pakistan should stop genocide of Christians of Pakistan. Or else a time will come when Christians of Pakistan will consider Pakistan their enemy and will rebel against it because same concept of two nation theory applies here.

Blasphemy Accused Christian Couple in Pakistan Detained With Their Four Children

According to details, Shafqat Masih 43 years old, and his wife Shaguftah, 40 years old, have also been accused of texting blasphemous messages to Muslim clerics.

Plaintiff Muhammad Hussain says,” I was offering “Taraweeh” prayers offered in Ramadan after the breaking of the fast on 18th of July, 2013 in Talabwali mosque at around 10pm when my cell phone vibrated.” He states that,” after finishing prayer, I checked my cell phone and found blasphemous text messages insulting both Prophet Muhammad and the Qur’an.”

While talking about this case, Gojra City Police Station House Officer Muhammad Nisar told that,” Hussain’s call data revealed the messages were sent from Shaguftah’s cell phone number.”

Nonetheless, the Gojra City Police have booked the couple, together with their four children, pressurizing them to name someone who could have sent the messages.

The Police official Nisar further told that,” a large number of Islamic clerics had been enraged when they heard of these text messages, and that they remained in the police station until the First Investigative Report (FIR) was lodged.” Subsequently, the police detained the accused couple on 20th of July, 2013 and transferred them to Toba Tek Singh District jail the following day.

“Shafqat has admitted to the police he sent the blasphemous messages and gave this statement to the judicial magistrate,” Muhammad Nisar said. On the other hand, Riaz Anjum, the Defence Counsel of the couple asserts that,” the police have extracted a confession from Shafqat, which is illegal.”

Riaz Anjum further criticizes the police saying in order to establish a strong case against the couple they have recorded Shafqat Masih’s judicial confession. “Investigation should have been done by the senior superintendent before lodging the case, but here the police have extracted a confession from Shafqat which is illegal,” he said. Additionally, the police have also charged the couple under 25-D of The Telegraph Act of 1985 which proposes a maximum of three years of imprisonment for deliberately “causing annoyance” in addition to 295-B and C.
